They have over 20 flat screens located through out the bar and have a great sports package. The staff is friendly and very open to putting your favorite football match on one of the TVs. The only time you will run into interference is during Blazer games or on NFL Sundays.

Over the years I’ve had various discussions with various soccer heads, and the topic has often turned to the question of why don’t we have an all-soccer all the time bar in Portland? We know it would do well. Look at how packed Kells gets, for example, for big matches (even the ones that start at 7am!?).

Well soon we’ll be able to test our theory – Taste of Europe, the small market on 18th and Hawthorne, is being rechristened the 442 Soccer Bar.

According to their website, they plan to open in September 2010.  I’ll keep you posted!

Attached to this event is a schedule if all the games and we will open one half hour before the first game time listed. ex. If the first game on Friday June 11th is at 7am, we will open the doors at 6:30am.

We’re located at 3039 SE Stark Street – we specialize in micro-roasted coffee, so we’re not a bar, or restaurant – we’re a coffee roastery with Pearl Bakery pastries, Tastebud bagels, Stone Pie Joe’s savory pies, etc…

Update: Gravy Train confirms that Slim’s is officially going to open at 4:15am for the world cup and will show every match on a large screen with sound.

Slims in St Johns is a nice soccer bar. They don’t show timbers games, but they have literally dozens of scarves from around the world, and often have FSC on the TV. They open at 7am every day, all year, and they are toying with the idea of opening at 4am for the World Cup. I’ll let you know if they do.

The Skybox Pub & Grill was established in 1999, as a family sports pub in Sellwood. We were the first to go non-smoking 9 years ago. We have 23 taps, full bar, great food and 18 HD TVS.

Bakery Bar makes awesome cakes, and serves up espresso, coffee, pastries, and full breakfasts and lunches. Oh, and cocktails.

Not by any means a sports bar, they do however, every four years, show the FIFA World Cup tournament.
